Madonna pertenece a una generación única. Durante los años 80 se fraguaron las mejores y mayores estrellas de la música pop/rock actual. Personalidades únicas y diferentes como Michael Jackson, Prince, Cyndi Lauper, U2, Elton John, Kylie Minogue o Whitney Houston permanecen por siempre en nuestra memoria. Tras ellos, la música pop ha ido cayendo poco a poco en la repetición del mismo modelo y pocos son los que logran escapar de él y estampar su propio sello (si acaso, quizás Beyonce o Justin Timberlake). Pocos son, como Madonna los capaces de crear un álbum redondo.

Madonna belongs to a unique generation. In the 80's we were able to see the develop of some of the best and greatest stars of the nowadays pop/rock music. People like Michael Jackson, Prince, Cyndi Lauper, U2, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Depeche Mode or Whitney Houston belong to our memory forever. After them, pop music has consistently repeated the same pattern and there are just but a few of them that may be able to stamp their own mark (maybe Beyonce or Justin Timberlake). And there are even less the ones to be able to create a full, excelent album.
